News and Updates 2007-08

  October 2008: The varsity wrestling team has had a great summer and fall of preparing for the upcoming season.  We had a couple of wrestlers attend camp over the summer and a strong core group of guys consistently wrestling and lifting through the summer and fall.  We are currently going 3 days a week after school and one night a week of open mat.  There has been a great turnout for our fund raising events which has helped tremendously.  In our preseason meeting there were close to 30 interested students in attendance.  We will continue working for the next couple of weeks and take a one week break before the season begins on November 10^th.  I am excited for this season to get underway and to see how our wrestler’s hard word is going to pay off.

**June 2008** Bert Horsley has been named Head Coach of the E. C. Glass Hilltoppers wrestling team. Bert's knowledge of wrestling along with his dedication to the sport will be of great use in the upcoming year. We are very excited to have him as Head Coach. Congratulations Bert.

**May 2008** Chris Lukanich has stepped down as head Coach for the E.C.Glass Hilltoppers wrestling team. Chris has been a great asset to the program over the years and will be sorely missed. Good Luck in all you do Chris!
